E. coli O145 causes a diarrheal illness often with bloody stools. Although most healthy adults can recover completely within a week, some people can develop a form of kidney failure called Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). HUS is most likely to occur in young children and the elderly.
Schnucks and Logli customers may return any unused product to their nearest store for a full refund. Customers with questions may contact the Schnucks Consumer Affairs Department at 314-994-4400 or 1-800-264-4400.
