Mid Rivers Schnucks Recalls Ground Beef Sold Between 6 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on May 15
ST. PETERS, Mo. – Schnuck Markets, Inc. has issued a recall on all ground beef sold between 6 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 15 at its Mid Rivers store at 577 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St. Peters, Mo. (63376). A customer returned a package of ground beef that contained pieces of a black foam packaging tray, which an internal investigation determined had accidentally fallen into the grind. All ground beef was immediately removed from the meat cases; the grinder was cleaned and fresh ground beef was put out for sale. Any Mid Rivers Schnucks customer who purchased ground beef between 6 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 15 may return the product for a full refund or exchange. This is an isolated incident and no other stores are involved in this recall. There have been no reports of injury or illness. # # #
