Parkers Farm Recalls All Products Due to Possible Listeria Contamination

Parkers Farm, Inc. of Coon Rapids, Minn. has recalled all products because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria moncytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems.  Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.  No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue.

Customers are urged to check for the following products from Parkers Farm:

Port Wine Balls with Nuts – 10 ounces 

Sharp Balls with Nuts – 10 ounces 

Bacon Balls with Nuts – 10 ounces 

Portwine Cheese Log – 10 ounces 

Sharp Cheese Log – 10 ounces 

Bulk Mild Salsa – 128 ounces 

Garlic Cheddar – 8 ounces 

Creamy Honey Peanut Butter – 16 ounces 

Crunchy Peanut Butter – 16 ounces 

Creamy Peanut Butter – 16 ounces

Customers are urged to check for the following Swiss American products sold from the deli counter under the Schnucks Select label:

Schnucks Select Sharp Cheddar 

Schnucks Select Port Wine Cheddar

Schnucks and Logli customers may return the specified products to their nearest store for a full refund.
