The Hershey Company Voluntarily Recalls Chocolate Shell Topping

Product may contain undeclared almonds

 

            The Hershey Company of Hershey, Pa. has announced a voluntary recall of 7.25-ounce plastic bottles of Hershey’s Chocolate Shell Topping because they contain undeclared almonds.  People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds run the risk of an allergic reaction if they consume this product.

 

            The only 7.25-ounce of Hershey’s Chocolate Shell Topping affected have the code 69N printed on the back of the bottle below UPC: 0346000.

 

            No other products are involved in this recall.  No illnesses have been reported to date.  The product is completely safe for consumers who do not have an allergy or sensitivity to almonds.

 

            Schnucks and Logli customers in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Tennessee and Mississippi may return the product to their nearest store for a full refund or exchange.
